Kids ClosetOrganization – Made Easy
Let’s be real — kids’ closets can go from “neatly folded” to disaster zone in about two seconds flat, especially when boys share rooms! Between school clothes, sports gear, princess costumes, and the random collection of hats those sweet boys just have to have, it can feel impossible to keep it all in check.
But here’s the good news: I’ve found some super simple tricks and storage solutions that make closet organization not only doable but actually easy to maintain. If I can do it, trust me — you can too.
As always, just a reminder: you can find all the items on my Amazon Storefront, and I’ll link to them below as we go!

Plan Out the Week With Hanging Organizers
One of my favorite game-changers has been a hanging clothes organizer with compartments for each day of the week. No more “Mom, what do I wear today?” mornings — outfits are already picked and ready to go. Huge time-saver, and the kiddos know exactly where to find their clothes….aka school morning routines made easier!
Pro Tip: For little ones who can’t read yet, use the colors to help them identify the names of the week as they learn to read them! And for the little (literally short, lol) littles…grab a step stool to help them reach the compartments if they’re not quite tall enough yet! (Um, and if you’re short…like me…this ladder is fantastic for hanging all the things!)

Fill Those Cubbies, Y’all!
We LOVE a good cube storage bin around here, and both the boys’ and Tulip’s closets have built-in cube-shaped shelves. I found these Cube Storage Bins, and they have been SO perfect for the boys’ closet because they can see exactly what’s in them…AND they’re the perfect size for these built-in shelves! Tulips’ storage bins don’t have windows like the boys’, but they’re the perfect size, TOO CUTE, and absolutely work in her space (These White Cube Storage Bins are just as fab, promise!.
Pro Tip: Put the kiddo’s less important items up high where they’re less likely to reach…keep socks and jammies lower for easy and quick reach.

Use EVERY Inch of Space!
That closet door? It’s prime real estate! An over-the-door organizer with separate baskets or compartments is perfect for shoes, small toys, “stuffies” (stuffed animals), or accessories. The best part? Kids can actually see where things belong, which means they have a better chance of putting them back where they belong.
The boys have tons of their keepsakes in their over-the-door organizer, and Tulip’s over-the-door organizer is filled with…of course…stuffies 🩷.
Pro Tip: Be sure to measure the width of your door! The doors in our new home are thicker than the ones in the home we moved from, so I had to get new over-the-door hooks!

All In All…
Closet organization doesn’t have to mean a complete overhaul or a $500 Amazon order that leaves a hole in your credit card. With just a few simple storage solutions, you can transform chaos into something that actually works for both you and the kids. Once everything has a place, it’s so much easier to keep it that way, and to have the kids help you do so, too.
If I can pull this off, you definitely can too — and trust me, your mornings (and your sanity) will thank you!
