Functional & Chic Spaces with Castlery
When we moved into our new home, creating spaces that felt both functional and beautiful was at the top of my list. With three kids and a Great Dane in the mix, our furniture has to do a lot more than just look good…it has to stand up to everyday life while still giving us that cozy, elevated vibe we love.
That’s why I’m always SO excited to partner with Castlery to add a few key updates in our home…today we’re addint to our new family room and breakfast nook.
Our family room is where we spend most of our time together, whether for movie nights, video game tournaments, or even just hanging out while the kids play. Comfort and durability were a must, which made the Jonathan Extended Side Chaise Sectional an easy choice. (isn’t it so dreamy?!) While Castlery has lots of options for couches, there were a couple of things that stood out about this one:
Performance Fabric: Between kids, snacks, and the house horse, we needed a sofa that could handle it all. The fabric is designed to resist stains, pet hair, and spills (yes, you read that right). Dog hair vacuums right off, and spills literally bead up and wipe away. It’s one of those game-changing pieces that make family life easier without sacrificing style.
Extended Chaise: Perfect for lounging, stretching out, or piling on for family movie nights. (not to mention pushing the ottoman up to the other side makes for another make-shift chaise-ish! 😆)
To ground the space, we added the Amara Area Rug. Its subtle pattern and soft texture make the room feel instantly cozier, while still being practical for a high-traffic area. (don’t worry, it’s already withstood 2-3 stain scares 💀)
And because no room is complete without a great table, the Guin Round Coffee Table has been the perfect finishing touch. Its rounded design softens the room, making it feel approachable yet modern, while also being safe for the kiddos.
On to the Dining Nook!
Our dining table has always been the hub of our home…the place where we gather for meals, homework, and entertaining. We wanted something that could handle all of life’s moments, big and small, while still looking polished. Enter the Sawyer Dining Table paired with Edith Cane Dining Chairs.
Sawyer Dining Table: With its sleek design and sturdy build (y’all, this sucker is HEAVY lol), it easily fits our family and has quickly become one of our favorite pieces in the house.
Edith Cane Chairs: The natural cane detail adds a touch of charm, while the cushioned seats make them comfortable enough for lingering at the table. (have also already gotten through 2-3 stain scares and they withstood them fabulously 🙌🏼)
To complete the look, we added Grace Dinnerware. Simple yet elegant, these dishes are proof that the little details can elevate a room. Setting the table has never been easier—or more beautiful. (Grace Mugs, Grace Bowls, Grace Salad Plates)

And to complete the whole space – we added the Edith Cane Counter Stools to our bar area, which is right beside our dining nook. They tie the dining space together beautifully while giving the kids a comfortable (and sturdy!) spot to sit and snack or do homework.
Since we moved, it’s been so much fun filling our home with quality furniture and creating spaces that are both incredibly functional yet aesthetic. Castlery has been a tried and true go-to as I’ve looked to fill each room, and I know these picks will last us for years – yes, even with three kids and a house horse!
