Back to School
Holy guacamole (with a margarita on the side) can you believe that it’s already back to school time?! I’m not 100% sure the kids are ready…but ready or not, here it comes y’all!
Back to School Tips
– Keep a change of clothes in your kiddo’s backpack (accidents happen)
– These waterproof labels are perfect for water bottles and lunch boxes
– We keep air tags on the kids. They come in multiple attachments like watches, pins, or even key chains for backpacks.
– Find a family scheduler that will help keep your sanity with all of the different events and calendars! We have an acrylic calendar on a wall, but there are great digital options out there, too! Digital option HERE
– Use Art Picture Frames to display projects that come home from school
Back to School Traditions
On the night before the first day of school, we usually read a book a school-themed book, and then we sprinkle ready confetti before we go to bed. I also take pictures of the kids wearing an adult-size large t-shirt that says Class of 20XX with their graduation school year. We take a picture of them in this shirt every year from kindergarten until their senior year. On the back of these shirts, we also do hand prints for each grade.
Here’s a list of our favorite school-themed books:
Ms. Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten
Mrs. Nelson is Missing
The Night Before Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade
We Don’t Eat Our Classmates
The Cool Bean (this whole series is fabulous)

Wishing all the kids a fabulous start back to school this year! I’m also praying for all the mama’s no matter if going back to school means having cheers or tears!
