Gift Guide for Teachers and Counselors

As you know, I was a middle school math teacher and my bestie is a high school counselor. Gifts for holidays were VERY rare as a middle school teacher because you are typically one of seven or sometimes even eight teachers that the student has in a day. BUT every so often a gift would come my way and it would totally make my day. It doesn’t have to be much, even the homemade ones were my favorite (and had the most meaning).

Here are 10 ideas for your teachers and counselors this holiday season!

  1. BIC Gel Pens (5 count) $6.29 or Bic Gel Pens (12 count) $11.99
    – True story, I had a parent yell at me once for using a red pen on her sons paper… it was a blue paper and the pen was pink. 🙂
    – I loved grading and writing notes in colored pens but my students loved using my colored pens even more! You want a middle school boy to show their work… give them a pink pen!
  2. Post It’s This one is 12 count for $12.99
    – I can’t tell you how many post it’s a teacher uses in a day! I used to pass them out to my students to use as exit tickets, as they walked out my door they would hand them back to me.
  3. Teacher Survival Pouch $12.99
  4. Teacher Note Pad and List $10.99
  5. Teacher or Counselor Willow Tree $21.95
    – I LOVE these little figurines! They make the best gifts for truly anyone because they come in alllll forms!
  6. Expo’s
    – I didn’t link these because you can buy them ANYWHERE and in all size sets. BUT like the colored pens.. students love writing on their desks to show their math work and a purple expo can make a world of difference (it’s the little things folks)
  7. Yeti Cup $29.99
-Really any kind of insulated cup make a great gift for a teacher or counselor. Because in all honesty they make coffee in the morning and don’t typically drink it until hours into their school day.
  8. Kenetic Sand Kits $20.00
    – I know this one looks kind of out of place but hear me out! The counselors at our middle school had these on their desks with little sand molds and they were awesome! It’s crazy how calming it was to play with the sand and if the teachers loved playing with it, you know the kids did. It’s one of those mindless tasks that relaxes you!
  9. Volcano Candle $14.90
    – A candle… really!? Really! Have you ever smelled a middle school classroom after PE or Athletics?! Just keeping a nice smelling something on your desk is a must for teachers and counselors. No, they can’t burn them at school but it’s nice to have something that smells good nearby. Plus they can always take it home!
  10. #10 is simply a gift card of any $ value. Everybody loves gift cards but if you put a little note with it written by your kiddo it will mean even more!

Other options include something personalized from etsy or a local business mom! Shop small and show some love to those that love on your babies!

Happy holidays y’all and happy shopping!!
